Tae- Bo (our version)

Here I am doing my Morning Tae-Bo.

Warming up right here.

Doing my kicks and punches.
Yes!!! I dyed my hair...
and...
Lost 50 pounds.

Or..
No.

OK No.

This all started with pasta.

Yes, pasta...the reason I haven't lost that
50 pounds...or one of the reasons...
ok. let's not go there.

Sometimes I get a little creative and
use a different noodle for spaghetti.
It's still spaghetti but more fun...for the boys.
They're all about fun.

While cooking dinner a while back I casually told Gabe that I was cooking Bow Ties. Later Gideon asked and I told him the same.
It was a while later during the meal that he actually had cause to use the term again. And by that time he had gotten it switched around.

So tonight we had Tie Bows for supper and they were a huge hit.
They will clean their plates if it is filled with wonderful little Tie Bows. Fill it with regular, hard to eat, boring Spaghetti and half of it remains on the plate!

So I have a lovely relationship with Tie Bows... Tae-Bo... notsomuch. :(

Hecklers

heck⋅le

[hek-uhl] Pronunciation
verb, -led, -ling, noun –verb (used with object)

1. to harass (a public speaker, performer, etc.) with
impertinent
questions, gibes, or the like; badger.

Ahhhh the perfect word to describe my children while I'm cooking.... well... cooking, baking, reading, eating, blogging,..... well, you get the point.

I've decided they are going to grow up to be professional hecklers.
They are in training.

Since we were snowed in Yesterday I decided to whip up a confectionary delight.

Under great duress (you Mothers of preschoolers know
what I mean) I managed to Actually remember
all the ingredients of the cupcakes.

A Heckling face if I ever saw one.
This kid taunted me while I iced my lovely confections.
"What about THIS tray full Momma, where's the icing for these cupcakes????"

me, "I have plenty, just watch me."

4 year old, "No you don't Momma. No you don't."

me, "Oh, yes I do! SEEEEEE"... hoping he won't notice
the vast difference in icing coverage from the first well
endowed tray to the second more sparsely iced tray.

A third Heckler got involved (who shall remain nameless)
and there was some spatula licking going on.

Is it any wonder they wanted to choose their cupcake when
it was FINALLY time to eat them?? Like one
was REALLY different than the other.

Boys.... Hecklers in training.

It makes my day!

Friday, January 30 Day off

NC Transportation Museum
(on a freezing cold day)

We had a great time and have to go back and ride the train sometime.

A Beautiful Snowy Night

Perhaps standing at my front door in p.j.'s was not a
great place for a parson's wife to be, but I couldn't resist.

The huge flaky snow was positively glorious.

Since it was 1 a.m. I was figuring most sane folks were in
their warm bed. Not sticking their camera out the door and freezing to death!

This is without flash and using a very slow shutter speed.
The blurry lights on the left are the church.
You can really tell just how much was coming down.

Here's the same shot with the flash and fast shutter speed.

For maybe 15 minutes the flakes were Enormous.

After about 10 shots I finally scored this one.

I love this one because the church is in the background.

So next time you photograph snow try a few
without flash and hold Really still!

Thanks for reading my first post ever!!! Wheeeeeee
