Gabriel Ashton turns 3!!

Today's the day I've been dreading. The day my little Gabe turns 3. . . officially not a baby any more. We celebrated with cake and gifts last night.

He was just days old here.

He loves Mickey Mouse, so I attempted a Mickey cake.

They are watching the cake bake. Gabe requested chocolate cake.

I think he liked it!!!

He didn't fit on my upside down cookie sheet very well, but here he is.

The boy and his chocolate cake.

He likes blowing the candles out so much that we let him do it twice.

Enjoying the fruits of Mommy's labors.

Mmmm black staining icing. Gideon had 2 pieces.

Playing with a new Handy Manny toy.

We spent a wonderful day celebrating at Dan Nicholas Park in Rowan county. It was really a neat place. ... more on that another time!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Gabe. You'll always be my sweet Baby!

My Baby's about to turn 3!! ACK

I thought I'd better get some last pictures of my two year old. :( He will be heading off to college next week I'm afraid.

Big Brother had to get in on the photo shoot. He only has about a month left of being Four. :( He will be getting married and having his little boy and girl (as are his plans) next week I'm afraid.

Two sweeter boys cannot be found.

I guess college and marriage will wait.... at least until VBS is over this week!!

Gideon is ready to go! He is wearing his vbs tee shirt, name button, Australian hankie, and name necklace. Gabe gets his Lellow shirt tonight.

Life is moving by way too fast. I want to keep them 2 and 4 for at least a few more years.

3 Letter Aunts and Grandmas

Our weekend started off with visitors and ended with exhaustion!

2 Aunts and 2 Grandmas came for a visit. Would you believe their names are; Mae, Mae, Lou and Kay?! Yes, the three letter Aunts and Grandmas!!

It was hilarious to see what our boys conned our guests into doing.

I found this scene one evening near bed time.

They have everyone reading "Thomas the Tank Engine" Magazines. How many people does it take to read to two boys?? :)

They brought a Huge watermelon. I couldn't resist taking a picture of them chowing down!!

We really had a nice time with our guests. We went to Spencer and walked the transportation Museum and rode the train. Then we went browsing in Down town Salisbury.

We came across a quarter ride at one of the shops. It was a horse and was from the 1950's. It was the best horsey ride ever. I think they begged at least 10 quarters from the unsuspecting Aunts and Grandmas!!

Our legs were worn out, but we had a great weekend with the "three Letter" Aunts and Grandmas.
