A lost tooth and new glasses!!

Gideon lost his first tooth April 21st! He's 5 years and 7 months old.

His toothless excitement could not be contained!

The next morning he found $2 under his pillow!

He also got his new glasses! His first rimless Silhouettes! That's my boy!

I'm afraid he's growing up. I'm a little sad, but a lot thankful. My Gideon is a precious gift from God.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Husband!!

It's been a crazy time around our house lately. Friday, March 26th we had a bike accident. We were all riding at the church when Gideon rode right across Rodney's path. Of course, rather than run over Gideon, Rodney slammed on all the breaks on his bike. He went airborne with his feet above his head. Landing on his left arm, all he could say was, "Why did he do that????"

So here we are that day in the E.R. waiting for the pain meds to kick in and the X-ray results. No broken bones! We praised the Lord!

Monday they called us to tell us that yes, there was a fracture. Still praising the Lord though. It could have been much worse.

So, here's the birthday boy in his arm sling with his ice cream cake. April 5, 2010 was a memorable Birthday thanks to our Gideon and his bad biking skills! Happy 34th Dear!!!!

The boys just love some candle blowing and some birthday song singing. Here's a little clip.

Crafting with the Guys

Good Grief! Is it really Valentine's Day already?? Where has the year gone!!

The Guys and I did a little crafting today. (forgive the juice beard, mustaches are just not enough for this little guy)

Both of my Guys are in school classes filled with pretty little girls. So, we made flowers.

This sweet, juice mustached, fellow made this paper likeness of me. Rosy cheeks and short arms... hmmm could be worse.

We got the idea from Family Fun Magazine.

When crafting with 3 and 5 year old boys remember: there will be as much mess under the table as their is ON it, it will take 3 times longer than planned, and they will get off task and you will have to complete it yourself.

Great Memories and lots of fun!

Christmas Trip to Penna!

These are the events that led up to Christmas!!

We had a bit of an adventurous drive up for sure. The roads were clear until we got past Lynchburg toward Charlottesville. Where there was shade there was thick ice patches. The road was a vehicle graveyard.

Most of the time there was one clear lane, but it moved from lane to lane, so you had to be alert and switch lanes to the clear one all the time. It was BEAUTIFUL though.

I kept snapping pictures of snowy churches. They were so amazing.

We did arrive in one piece. (the bad roads only lasted about 30 miles...) We were praising the Lord for safety.

The day after we arrived we went out to play!

It's not every sled riding hill that has steps to go back to the top!

There's my Mom with her Coffee! Short Sleeves... she must be a Pennsylvanian!

Rodney was sending the boys down the hill in the front yard.

Back to the top again!

They didn't want to quit!

Me! ... Freezing.

Mom, working.... again. ... making a new trail for the boys.

Ahhh the fun we had before Christmas. Snow, snow, SNOW!!!

Stay tuned for more! Christmas Day is next!

Preschool Christmas Program

Oh, the Fun!!! Today was Gideon and Gabe's little Program for Preschool. As you can see he was "THE KING" (said in a deep booming voice.) The shepherds were keeping their eye on him.

Here he is doing his part. Placing a present there for the Baby.

Praying... the shepherds still keeping an eye on him. Gabe is the shepherd with the lamb.

This is Gideon's class. Two pretty girls and my boy. They were quoting John 3:16.

Here's the whole crew. ... 6 months old up to 5 years. (one of the angels slept through the whole thing. ... a shepherd cried until he got his mama!!)

It was SO cute! I'm afraid Gideon is going to want to bring his Kingly chair home!! He already thinks he's a Prince to be served!!

Some random things

Here is Thomas the Tank Engine. Gideon drew this and we sent in hoping to have it published in the magazine. We're not holding our breath on that though. I'm sure they get thousands of entries.

This is the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

This was in the lobby during October sometime. I thought it was so neat!! Cool idea.

Here are my two Monkey's under our tree. I took this on Sunday after church. This is the first time Gabe has ever worn a tie. Oh, and I scored that white sweater vest at the Goodwill on Friday!! Imagine, a white sweater with no stains at the Goodwill!

This week Gideon asked, "Momma, is Cantata the Spanish word for Choir?" Good question child, but no, it's not. :)
