Christmas Trip to Penna!

These are the events that led up to Christmas!!

We had a bit of an adventurous drive up for sure. The roads were clear until we got past Lynchburg toward Charlottesville. Where there was shade there was thick ice patches. The road was a vehicle graveyard.

Most of the time there was one clear lane, but it moved from lane to lane, so you had to be alert and switch lanes to the clear one all the time. It was BEAUTIFUL though.

I kept snapping pictures of snowy churches. They were so amazing.

We did arrive in one piece. (the bad roads only lasted about 30 miles...) We were praising the Lord for safety.

The day after we arrived we went out to play!

It's not every sled riding hill that has steps to go back to the top!

There's my Mom with her Coffee! Short Sleeves... she must be a Pennsylvanian!

Rodney was sending the boys down the hill in the front yard.

Back to the top again!

They didn't want to quit!

Me! ... Freezing.

Mom, working.... again. ... making a new trail for the boys.

Ahhh the fun we had before Christmas. Snow, snow, SNOW!!!

Stay tuned for more! Christmas Day is next!

Your parents have the perfect place for sledding Steps back to the top would be a dream!!! Get a real coat girl! No wonder you're freezin'! The roads were really bad there for your trip up. Glad you made it safe. The church pic is just beautiful. Your parents never change!! I was glad they got to come along down on Monday! It was good to see them!

Yes, it is a great sledding spot! Real coat! Come on I paid $3.99 for that one at the Good will! Guess that's why I didn't get sleeves. Yes, roads were crazy for about 30 miles until we got on 64. I have more snowy church pics. We had a nice time at your house, and the meal was so refreshing after the stuff we had been eating!!!
