The Making of a Snowman and the first shot of 2010

The view from Mom and Dad's was amazing.

This is the back yard.

The fluffy snow would finally pack on New Year's Eve. Earlier snows were just too fluffy.

Reilly showed Gabe that you could eat the stuff.... yuck...

Our master piece.

I think you can tell who helped build the snowman and who just stepped out for a picture with it. :)

All done. Broccoli eyes, Carrot nose, and stone mouth. ... lovely. I should mention here that when we inserted that carrot Blake said, "Just watch and see who is the first person to take a bite off that carrot." We chuckled and went in for hot chocolate.

My Daddy and Me.... if ya can't tell.

So here it is! The first shot of 2010 taken right after midnight... or close to it.

Look closely.

Her Daddy was right.

Just as her family was loading up to drive the 2 hours home Reilly took a bite or two from the Frosty's poor Carrot nose.

New Year's Eve

Here's the New Year's Eve Scrabble Game. Mom started it off with 72 points on her first play. Rodney and I never did quite catch up!

Uncle Blake took our guys and his Reilly sledding. (You'd never know Blake has a broken toe and thumb.)

Wipeout~!

Sledding cousins.

Almost into the creek!

Like my size 10 men's boots?

All three on one sled!

Whheeeeee

Hang on Gideon!

Rodney's turn... Julia has my camera...

OOOOOooo

LOOK OUT JULIA! She had to run for her life! The size 14's are coming at you FAST!

We could not get Reilly to quit!!

Uncle Blake had to grab the tree so they didn't go into the creek!

My turn!! It was tough holding those size 10's off the ground! We made it to the creek though. Oh, that's a Pennsy creek so you have to say it "crick."

Good times.

Some random things

Here is Thomas the Tank Engine. Gideon drew this and we sent in hoping to have it published in the magazine. We're not holding our breath on that though. I'm sure they get thousands of entries.

This is the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

This was in the lobby during October sometime. I thought it was so neat!! Cool idea.

Here are my two Monkey's under our tree. I took this on Sunday after church. This is the first time Gabe has ever worn a tie. Oh, and I scored that white sweater vest at the Goodwill on Friday!! Imagine, a white sweater with no stains at the Goodwill!

This week Gideon asked, "Momma, is Cantata the Spanish word for Choir?" Good question child, but no, it's not. :)

Royal Ambassador CampOut

We were invited to the R. A. Campout. I heard someone say something about "at the Lake" and "Lake house" so I thought it was a safe bet that I could go with our little boys for a while with no problem.

HO HO. We arrived (after only bottoming out in the Accord once on the mile long, pot-hole filled, dirt path) to find this:

Then THIS arrived!!!!!

Thank you for the demonstration, but I'm going home NOW!

Here are some of the guys!

Not sure what the symbolism is with this tree... but I just snapped it anyway.. figured it was a "guy" or "rugged Campout" thing.

Turns out that "lake" really meant "RIVER" and "house" really meant "Tent."

What a beautiful spot it was! We had so much fun eating hot dogs burnt on a BLAZING fire, roasting marshmellows to make smores, chatting, laughing, and watching boys just be Boys.

@ the park

This was last Thursday. The weather was just so pretty that we headed for the park.

Me and my trusty camera case. The yellow and blue blurr in the background is Gabe.

Strangest see saw ever!! Guess that's why Rodney's cracking up.

He matched the playground!!!

The family that slides together.....

This little bird loves a playground.

We had never seen a 3 way slide before this one!

We are so enjoying fall. Hope you are!
